Despite stricter regulations and political waste reforms, it appears that Sweden will not meet the EU’s recycling targets for plastic and paper packaging by 2030. This is shown in a new report produced by the sustainability agency 2050 Consulting on behalf of Näringslivets Producentansvar.

The report points to solutions, but achieving them requires everyone involved in handling packaging – producer responsibility organisations, manufacturers, municipalities, suppliers, businesses, and households – to roll up their sleeves even further.

We have produced a webinar to summarize the report’s key findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Listen as Malin Forsgren from 2050 Consulting provides a clear picture of the current situation and outlines what we need to do together to help increase recycling.
