Swedish Trade Federation joins as owner
It is now clear that Swedish Trade Federation is joining the constellation of owners for Näringslivets Producentansvar. Together with DLF Sweden, Swedish Food Retailers Federation, Swedish Brewers Association and Spirit & Wine Suppliers Association (SVL), they form a strong and stable ownership sphere for producers who choose Näringslivets Producentansvar as their producer responsibility organization.

The owners represent a broad majority of the producers in the industry and have the best conditions to meet the development of producer responsibility for packaging and the new requirements that producers face, says Helena Nylén, CEO of N Näringslivets Producentansvar.
Näringslivets Producentansvar has been formed to meet the changes in producer responsibility for packaging and the new and higher demands placed on producers. The company continues to build on the expertise and experience that has been developed over more than 25 years within Förpackningsinsamlingen, FTI.
The industry organizations that are owners of Näringslivets Producentansvar consist of both suppliers and customer companies. With the trade organizations Swedish Trade Federation, DLF Sweden, Swedish Food Retailers Federation, Swedish Brewers Association and Spirit & Wine Suppliers Association (SVL) a strong foundation and an increased benefit for the members of the trade associations is created by enabling both transparency and influence for affiliated producers.
Näringslivets Producentansvar has applied to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency to become an approved producer responsibility organisation, PRO. Decisions on approved organizations are made by the Environmental Protection Agency no later than October 31, 2023. Näringslivets Producentansvar welcomes all producers to join now, in order to be prepared for the new ordinance’s requirements. According to law, connection must take place no later than November 1.
